Liz Corwin is a world-traveling teacher whose workshops and classes are nurtured from the essential joy of adventure, curiosity and freedom. Liz’s journey to yoga began as an escape from the stressful and competitive life as a U.S. Navy F-18 pilot. In 2008 she began sharing her practice with pilots and friends while on deployment aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Truman.
After leaving active duty, Liz completed her 200-HR RYT certification at Studio Bamboo Institute of Yoga in Virginia Beach, VA. Since then, Liz has studied with a variety of international teachers including Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore, India with Saraswathi Jois, Power Yoga with Beryl Bender Birch, and Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Seane Corn. The intensity of these lineages is now the essence behind her fresh, challenging and playful flow sequences, tailored for the yogi who simply wants to move and explore with grace and Lila (Sanskrit for “play”). By becoming so caught up in the moment, all else ceases to exist. No past, no future, just the present moment to experience, then to let go and continue the walkabout of life.
Liz’s wandering spirit and walkabout-yoga lifestyle have driven her explorations of yoga from Beijing to Nepal, and Zanzibar to Germany. These travels have inspired her approach towards the teachings and practice of yoga so expect to explore your practice and discover new possibilities when you step foot on your mat.
An ambassador for KiraGrace Yoga, The Give Back Yoga Foundation, and the cover yogi of Beryl Bender Birch’s book “Yoga for Warriors”, Liz is honored to offer FREE copies to any military members through the Give Back Yoga Foundation.
