Local Weekend Yoga Retreat June 9-11th!!!

Transform from Amazing to “OHM”azing!!!!  Connect to the fire within

Everyone need a little “me” time, where you can escape the day-to-day and restore the body and mind.  Yoga has long been a practice of choice to help find clarity, calm and the ability to focus on your inner self.

Join us for a local weekend retreat located on property overlooking the Oso Bay. Meditate with the sound of gently swaying palm trees, the natural sounds of the bay and watch as exotic birds fly by. There is a wild bird refuge only steps away. This retreat will focus on personal growth and transformation.

Study with the teacher training students as they explore the many facets of yoga. Asana classes will include Chakra opening, candlelight yoga, restorative yoga, inversions 101, arm balancing 101, yoga nidra, and more! There will be time for meditation, journaling, yoga philosophy and energetic lectures, creating vision board, a nutrition workshop with a registered dietician and spending time with like-minded individuals. Explore the effects of pranayama. This will be a weekend full of self-exploration. The yoga practices will be outdoors. Enjoy organic vegetarian and pescetarian meals. Non-yoga activities can include walks through a bird sanctuary, lounging around the pool or enjoying a comfortable chair on 2 separate decks.

The retreat will be for all skill levels. It will be held primarily outdoors.

This workshop/retreat qualifies for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Hours

Dates June 9th-11th, 2017.

40 Days To A Personal Revolution by Baron Baptiste Led by Renee Jasso

Join us for a unique opportunity: Contact Yoga Studio of Corpus Christi at 361-779-0183 or michelle.acebo@gmail.com to register!
This is a 40 day method that offers us the understanding of our condition and the road map to get ourselves out into a more sculpted and awakened life-whether that be a stronger, more powerful, or pain-free body, a heightened emotional intelligence, or a spiritually deeper experience of life. Taking responsibility for the self means taking action, and this program is about taking action. It is designed to challenge your personal philosophy and your body so that you can tap unknown resources within yourself. Once you take full responsibility and spark you inner revolution with full consciousness, the practices you learn in this program will never fail you. This program will lead you towards a more awakened and truthful life.

What you need for class: journal, and book 40Days to Personal Revolution; Baron Baptiste

This does require a commitment we will meet every Friday at 6 p.m., starting on February 20th – April 3rd. The class will last approximately 2.5 hours. It will consist of a 90 minutes Vinyasa practice and inquiry.

What is provided is support for a 40 day period of time. You will be provided a audio meditation and asana practice for each week. Each week will progressively increase in time. e.g. Meditation starts at 5 minutes working up to 30 minutes. Vinyasa starts at 20 minutes working up to 90 minutes. It can seem overwhelming at first glance, remember it is not about doing this perfectly. You will be supported the entire duration, Sundays are your resting days. Along with meditation and asana we will work with eating clean. This is not a diet, just healthy eating, bringing mindfulness into what you eat and why.

Cost if register before February 13th $150, after $180.

I am committed to supporting you compassionately and helping you realize your most powerful self.

Candlelight yoga

Special Donation-Based Candle light Gentle Yoga followed by a Yoga Nidra Practice Friday, May 24th 6:00pm-8:15pm

Suggested Donation: $20

Gentle yoga is a calming, stress-relieving yoga practice to stretch and strengthen the body gradually. Emphasis is on building awareness of the breath and the body. Asanas are practiced at a slower pace with attention to alignment. Recommended for all levels in search of a relaxing, restorative experience.  We will then move our Savasana practice into a Yoga Nidra Experience.

“Yoga Nidra, which is derived from the tantras, is a powerful technique in which you learn to relax consciously. In yoga nidra, sleep is not regarded as relaxation. People feel that they are relaxing when they collapse in an easy chair with a cup of coffee, a drink or a cigarette, and read a newspaper or switch on the television. But this will never suffice as a scientific definition of relaxation. These are only sensory diversions. True relaxation is actually an experience far beyond all this. For absolute relaxation you must remain aware. This is yoga nidra, the state of dynamic sleep. Yoga nidra is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. The term yoga nidra is derived from two Sanskrit words, yoga meaning union or one-pointed awareness, and nidra which means sleep. During the practice of yoga nidra, one appears to be asleep, but the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness.” ~ ‪Swami Satyananda Saraswati
