Every Tuesday, 7:30am-8:45am AND 8pm-9:15pm
This six week workshop series is designed specifically for the absolute beginner or anyone wanting a step-by-step review of the basics! In just six short weeks, you will walk away with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of yoga, breathing, and alignment in elemental versions of all poses.
Upon completion you will have enough knowledge to be comfortable walking into drop-in basic or open level yoga classes.
You will also learn to modify poses for your specific body type so you may receive full benefits form any regular class.
This series is comprehensive and registration will be for the entire six weeks.
Week 1: Foundation
Goal: Being present and cultivation a strong and stable foundation
Week 2: Pelvis and low back
Goal: Bringing sensitivity and fluidity in the practice while maintaining stability in the foundation.
Week 3: Shoulder and Neck
Goal: Opening and supporting the heart, moving into the unknown
Week 4: Rhythm of alignment
Goal: Moving with breath, yoga = science and art
Week 5: Seated & restorative poses
Goal: Using extension and contraction to create space, slowing down time, becoming happily heavy
Week 6: Bringing it all together
